Cebu Pacific said in a statement Monday it will be flying four times per week between Cagayan de Oro and Tagbilaran starting March 15. Then on March 16, it will launch a route from Cagayan de Oro to Bacolod, via thrice weekly flights. Cebu Pacific said it will be using its new ATR 72-600 aircraft that would be delivered by early March. Alexander Lao, president and CEO of Cebu Pacific unit Cebgo, said the routes were aimed at business and leisure travelers. “At the same time, passengers from Tagbilaran and Bacolod will now be able to explore Mindanao without the hassle, through the gateway that is Cagayan de Oro,” he said. “Trust that we will remain devoted to exploring more routes to cater to more of our valued guests, and also to beef up economic, trade, and tourism in the destinations we operate in,” he added. Cebu Pacific ordered the ATR72-600 planes in 2015. The carrier placed an order for 16 of the planes, with an option to acquire 10 more.

In this case, it is offering a P799 “all-in seat sale” for travel from March 15 to May 31 this year. “Travelers may book their flights from today until Jan. 27, 2017 or until seats last. The promo fare is inclusive of taxes and fees, while bags, meals, and other ancillaries may be added as preferred,” the carrier said in its statement. Prices creep higher once the sale ends.
