Winning homes have signs displayed in their yards. The Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company ushers Santa through the neighborhood as well. The Sewickley Music Club will host “Holiday Sounds” at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Edgeworth Club, 511 East Drive, Edgeworth. Musical entertainment includes cello and harp duo Nadine Sherman and Sara Magill. The fee for members and guests is $10 each. Old Economy Village will host a Christmastime educational tour for children at 1 p.m. Dec. 14 and 15. Tours are for students in preschool through third grade. While touring the village, students follow the story of a cat that is injured along the railroad tracks. He is discovered by Jacob Henrici and nursed back to health. He becomes Jacob's pet and lives at Old Economy Village. During this 90-minute tour, students will make a cat ornament, learn a Christmas song, hear the cat story and have a party with grumpy, old Belsnickel. He will be checking his book to see which children are naughty and nice.

Living Navitiy at Franklin Park church A Bible study group at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Franklin Park is holding a live Nativity on Dec. 18. The event, which has taken place each year since 1988, features 20-minute performances that include a narration of the story of Jesus' birth;

livestock from local farms; and adult, children and infant performers in period costumes. St. Francis of Assisi is credited with creating the first Nativity scene in 1223 at Greccio, Italy, as a way to shift the focus of Christmas celebrations away from secular materialism and gift giving. Lyric sheets will be available for audience members to participate in a sing-along of Christmas songs. Light refreshments will be served. Performances are scheduled for 6, 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. The church is at 2500 Brandt School Road. Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum The Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum continues through Jan. 15 at 5507 Lakeside Drive in the North Hills. The theme for this year's is “A Railroad Journey in Miniature.” The museum's 4,000-square-foot layout is one of the largest in the country and depicts the fictitious Mon-Valley System.
