Company DescriptionAn industry-leader and Fortune 100 business, we are seeking new talent to join our team. Job DescriptionResponsible for providing quality handyman duties at customer's homes and buildings.The Sears Technician, Handyman Solutions is responsible for providing quality general maintenance, general carpentry and other related services to customers. This position provides services that include repair work, maintenance work, both interior and exterior, painting, and include light plumbing jobs such as fixing a leaky toilet or light electric jobs such as changing a light fixture.QualificationsJOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides various handyman services to customers related to general carpentry and maintenance Telephones each customer before arriving at the job site to confirm scheduled appointment and keep customer informed of any potential delays. Arrives on time with necessary materials and tools in Sears Handyman Solutions shirt, long pants, and boots. Surveys and discusses in detail with the customer any services to be completed.

Ensures safe driving of Company vehicles to the next scheduled appointment Ensures that all pre-assigned jobs are successfully completed and to be able to work independently within team environment. Reviews all paperwork required for each service and obtain needed signatures from the customer Completes and reviews invoices with the customer and secures payment for service Cleans up after assigned jobs to satisfaction of the customer and meets company established standards of job completion Completes all paperwork upon returning to the branch, and turns in all invoices, payments and charges to designated person Performs miscellaneous duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent 5-10 years of related experience Valid Driver License for the State of employment Up to 50% travel 18 years of age or olderREQUIRED SKILLS:Min 5 years of experience in general maintenance; general carpentry or a related field is required. Ability to maintain a good driving record in compliance with Company requirements Ability to remain informed of current industry knowledge Ability of good customer service techniques Ability to read, write, and interpret documents including but not limited to instructions, contracts / agreements, estimates and invoices.

Ability to complete all company forms, and have familiarity with company guidelines on needs for placing a job on order Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using proportions, and percentages. Ability to calculate and determine dimensions and materials needed to complete jobs assigned. Ability to communicate effectively on all aspects of the job with customers, co-workers and managers (both orally and in writing) Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, which includes conformance to the Code of Conduct and Sears' Ethical Business practices Ability to frequently required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Ability to frequently crawl, bend, climb, stand for long periods, and stoop.
