Brendan’s enthusiasm far outweighs that of his colleagues along with his ability to communicate. He returns phone calls, answers emails and keeps all parties up to speed in an almost regimented format. His ability to keep you in the loop and find the answers is particularly refreshing if you’ve had the displeasure in dealing with the other so called business brokers on the Coast. Brendan sold ours within eight weeks including a contract after just two days of being listed. His ability to negotiate, and communicate issecond to none. We would highly recommend his services to anybody looking to buy or sell a business. We decided to switch our investment property management to you as we had so much trouble with our previous real estate office. Nobody there really cared about us and as we are living overseas in Singapore it seemed a long way away when issues arose. This was really difficult to deal with. I would like to thank Lyn for her effort not only to sort out all of our concerns left by the previous agent but also giving us the effective advice to maximise our rental income and security.

Lyn is a professional, reliable property manager and we feel confident that we are being looked after by people who are concerned about our needs. For over 10 years your management of our first property and then a second for about 6 years was of the highest quality. Property maintenance was minimal due to the regular and thorough inspections. This not only helped us as owners but also was well accepted by the tenants.

We wish you well and have no hesitation in recommending your services to both investors and tenants. Just wanted to thank you for being the best agent I have ever experienced personally – I have found it quite rare, as well as all the help you were always able to provide in regards to my rentals. In today’s world, unfortunately, risk management is a big thing to keep abreast of. Just thought I would send this to let you know how much Val and I have valued all your help throughout the past term.

Diesel Truck & Earthmoving Vehicle Servicing & Repairs Perfect for a business migrant buyer Tips for BUYING a business Tips for SELLING your business How to VALUE a business Good quality businesses are in demand as the Sunshine Coast market heats up!Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy. Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing. However this website is specifically where you can find out about our Cooroy/Pomona Lions Club. With the sponsorship of the Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club, the Cooroy/Pomona Lions Club's Constitution Charter was signed on the 5th May 1972.

On the 1st of April, 1985 the club was incorporated as an association. Currently there are 30 members from all walks of life with a variety of skills and abilities in the club. We have our own clubhouse at 2 Mountain Street at Pomona which is on the edge of town surrounded on three sides with natural bush in the shadow of Mt Cooroora on which the annual Pomona King of the Mountain Race is run. The club was granted a ten year lease from the Sunshine Coast Regional Council in March 2008 following the club's agreement to renovate the premises which had fallen into disrepair. The premises were previously occupied by the local scout group but had been vacant for many years and were in danger of being demolished by the council. Over two years and after many hours of work by members the new clubhouse evolved. The project started in 2008 with an overgrown property and a very tired and gutted building surrounded by barrier fencing. This club now has a great facility and one for which all members are justly proud.

Attached to the main clubhouse but as a separate wing is an old forestry building previously used elsewhere to house forestry workers. The club recently received a grant from the State Government to assist in the renovation of this building following the completed restoration of our clubhouse. This is the current project being undertaken by members at their weekly working bees each Wednesday. When completed, it is anticipated that the new facilities will be offered for hire to the local community. King of the Mountain Race and Festival Our main project each year however is organising and running the Pomona King of the Mountain Race and Festival (KOM). This event is held at Stan Topper Park, Pomona. The event draws approximately 5,000 visitors from the region and South East Queensland. The mountain challenge is an internationally recognised event and actual participants for the race come from all over the world. The event includes a festival which is seen as a free family based fun day and the park is filled with various types of kids' entertainments, adult fun, family style bands and a variety of stalls.

The culmination of the day's activities however is the King of the Mountain Race where participants undertake a running race up the local Mt Cooroora and back to the park in Pomona. Many volunteers are needed to ensure the event is a success. The organising committee consists mainly of Cooroy/Pomona Lions Club members. Other volunteers are recruited by the club on the day to assist with running the day's activities. The focus of the event is to allow local community groups the opportunity for fundraising to support their own activities during the year. In addition many local businesses receive additional income during this time due to the influx of visitors. Funds collected by Lions during the day are also returned to the community. To supplement fundraising for the King of the Mountain Race and Festival the club also organises a Poker Run motorcycle ride through the picturesque Sunshine Coast hinterland. Prizes are given during each stage of the ride for the best hand and a sausage sizzle is provided at the end of the day followed by prize announcements.
