this is a cross between great italian and superb greek both traditions are celebrated here with great food and terrific service and not a bad wine list could not fault anything This Italian restaurant is a little hidden which accounts for why we'd never visited before, but apparently it's been here and at another location nearby for years. We weren't so hungry that night having misjudged timing of a snack earlier, but the quality of the food tempted us to eat more than planned - and that's always a good sign.... My wife and I ate here on the first night of our honeymoon. The food was exceptional! I had the caprese salad and diavolo pizza (probably too much cheese for one meal, but the quality of the ingredients was incredible). My wife had an amazing Greek salad and fresh made stuffed ravioli in a garlic & oil sauce. Our first foray into Mykonos town and we were not disappointed. Fabulous food, cold neat starter to share with fried artichokes was mountainous, great selection.

Recommended red wine was very good and not like paint stripper. Set away from the hustle and bustle we stumbled across Sale e Pepe and glad we went in. The food was excellent and very tasty. You can smell the pizzas a mile off and we were gagging by the time they... We ate a very good moussaka and seafood tempura. Good service and nice place in the center. This is not my first time to this restaurant. I have been here many times because I like good Italian food. However, this year the very welcoming Owner/Chef has decided to change the menu and to offer more casual food but always at the same high level of quality. He has added also a good variety of pizzas in the... Fresh delicious pasta and salads. Not amazing but better than average. There are other places in town with better atmosphere and better meals but this is a great quality option when you feel a need to have a break from a local Greek meal. Amasing, still thinking about it!!!!! Pizzas were great, and salads, if you want wines, the owner is an expert as well! What else can you ask for? Reasonable prices, as well. Bu the way, the argentinian host really really nice. There are no direct flights between Mykonos and Santorini for the summer of 2017. If you must take a plane then you’ll need to fly via Athens which takes about 4 hours in total travel time.The information below is for reference only.In 2014 there was one direct flight a day from Mykonos to Santorini on Olympic Air. For the summer of 2014 it was available from June 21 to September 20. It took 30 minutes, cost between €30 and €80, and departed Mykonos in the evening. This route was not available in 2015 or 2016.There are always many flights (that run throughout the year) via Athens but these are not direct, cost more, and take 3 to 5 hours depending on the connection through Athens.The best ferry between Mykonos and Santorini for the summer of 2017 is the Hellenic Seaways Highspeed 7.

The trip takes less than 3 hours and costs €57 in economy class.All ferry schedules can change with little notice so be sure to double check routes and times. The smaller the ferry the rougher the ride can be.From April 7 to October 15, 2017: Hellenic Seaways Highspeed 7 – Departs Mykonos at 13:50 and arrives in Santorini at 16:30 (making stops in Paros and Ios along the way). Economy class costs €57. There is little difference between Economy class and VIP or Business class so book Economy if cost is any concern (though it is the first to sell out). The Highspeed 7 (along with the TeraJet) is the most stable highspeed ferry that runs from Mykonos to Santorini and the best choice for those prone to seasickness. This route was covered by the Highspeed 5 but that ferry has been removed from service. There are no Blue Star ferries that run directly from Mykonos to Santorini but if you are worried about seasickness then read about connecting on Naxos or Paros with the Blue Star ferries below.

April 24 to September 24, 2017: Hellenic Seaways runs the Hellenic Highspeed (this could change) on the same route. It departs Mykonos at 10:15am and arrives in Santorini at 13:25 (not Tuesday or Wednesday until early June). The times of this route are not as firm as the Highspeed 4 so if you need to be certain about a ferry then book the Highspeed 6. April 15 to October 9, 2017: The Tera Jet, MasterJet, or Champion Jet departs Mykonos at 14:30 and arrives in Santorini at 17:05. This is the largest of the SeaJet ferries and a better choice than the Super Jet or SeaJet2 during rough seas. It makes the trip from Santorini to Mykonos every morning during the same dates leaving Santorini at 11:00 and arriving in Mykonos around 13:30. March 24 to October 31, 2017 Super Jet, SeaJet2, or a High Speed Jet have at least one ferry per day from Mykonos to Santorini – in July and August there are multiple sailings per day. This is the smallest ferry and the most bumpy ride. It’s also cramped inside (though the seats themselves are fine) and getting in and out is an uncomfortable hassle.

Take the Highspeed 6 or Tera Jet if possible (and especially if you have a lot of luggage). The most common time for the route is early morning leaving 9:50 or 10:00 and getting to Santorini at 11:50. All of the above ferries can have rough rides when the sea is choppy and none of them have open-air decks that you can access and take in the views. One solution is to take a Superjet or SeaJet2 from Mykonos to Paros or Naxos OR a FlyingCat4 or Highspeed4 from Mykonos to Paros. Then from Naxos or Paros take the Blue Star to Santorini – this way you’re only on the smaller highspeed ferries for 1 hour instead of 3 hours. But … the Blue Star leaves from Paros to Santorini at 11:40am and from Naxos to Santorini at 12:50pm so you may need to overnight in Mykonos if your ferry from Mykonos doesn’t arrive in time to make this connection. Check the most recent schedules at gtp.gr.Arriving in Santorini – The best way to arrive in Santorini is on the Blue Star ferry from Paros. It affords the best views of the caldera and the cliffs as you approach the island.

The highspeed ferries do not allow passengers to walk the decks and the views through the windows are not great (the glass is covered in sea salt). But on the Blue Star you can walk the deck and gaze around at the stunning scenery. As I say above, getting the Blue Star requires changing ferries in Paros or Naxos – but for some it’s worth the effort.Ferry Schedule for Santorini to MykonosThe routes and prices are much the same as above only with different times. Ferries generally one in one direction and then turn around and return with the same stops in the opposite order. Check the websites below for routes and times – and remember these ferries can be cancelled or change schedule with little notice.There is one flight per day from Santorini to Mykonos on Olympic Air running from June 21 to September 20.Ferry tickets often don’t need to be purchased in advance and you can usually buy tickets 1 to 4 days in advance from any travel agent on the island you’re currently on. This is the easiest way to buy tickets as buying ferry tickets online is neither convenient or easy.
