City Manager Announces Retirement Centerville City Manager Gregory B. Horn announced his retirement effective July 5, 2017, marking 25 years with the City. In addition to being responsible for day-to-day operations, Horn was hired in 1992, soon after the City began plans for what would become The Golf Club at Yankee Trace. Under his leadership, the golf course and club house opened in 1995, and the course expanded to 27 holes in 2003. Consistently named Best Golf Course in the area, Yankee Trace hosted the PGA Tour’s Dayton Open, and the residential area is now home to almost 900 families. Other projects that have developed during his tenure include miles of major road improvements, a new Police facility and new Public Works Center, Kroger Market Place, Miami Valley Hospital South and Cornerstone of Centerville.  Click here for the press release.

City Recognizes Employees For Service The City of Centerville recently honored 28 employees for their years of service at the annual Employee Recognition Luncheon held in December at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace. Police Detective Dan Osterfeld was recognized for 35 years of service while Werner Boehm and CJ Thrower, both recently retired from Public Works, received 30-year awards. Police Officers Scott Thomas and Bryan Sears, along with Public Works group leader Brad Kavalunas, received 25-year awards. "Our City is pleased and honored to have employees who have dedicated their careers to serving the residents of Centerville," says City Manager Greg Horn. "We appreciate the efforts and talents all of our employees bring each day to their respective positions."  Receiving 20-year awards were Police Officers John Pridemore, Ed Skinner and Jim Stephenson and Christine Smart, Police Staff Services coordinator. Honored for 15 years of service were Police Officer Adam Bennett and Police Sgt. Bill Osmanski;
